Welcome to U.S. Hunting Today, a project of Skinny Moose Media, LLC! We are your link to North American hunting. U.S. Hunting Today believes that hunting is a lifelong heritage that is vital to good family values and a healthy and prosperous life. We strongly defend our heritage and are working diligently to promote it and preserve it.
No longer is it acceptable for hunters to sit idly by while others lobby to deprive us of what we so fondly cherish – time in the woods with family and learning about what God gave us and what we can give back in return.
As we connect you to all of North America, our goal is to find willing participants in every region who will stand up with us and make a difference. Our family of web sites that bring you a thorough cross section of the United States and Canada, will aid every hunter and supporter of hunting heritage.
We have a staff of professional outdoor writers that can entertain you and educate you about every facet of our sport. We’ll educate you with tips and test your knowledge with quizzes focused on the wildlife that we share our woods with. Each site will stun you with dazzling photographs. We have one of the world’s best photographers and many of our readers share theirs as well.
One of the most important and successful sections of all our magazine sites has been our “Real Stories From Real People”. This is an opportunity for you to share your experiences with the rest of the world and get your story published in a national online publication.

After a little internet searching, reading, and checking up on this stuff I found it’s a pretty well established product in Canada and hails from Quebec where they have this funny habit of speaking a lot of French. Thus the name, Jig-A-Loo, and the company’s claim it derives from a saying they have up north, “I’ve got it!”
